1. Complete one introductory course*:
SCI-285 Principles of Environmental Science and Sustainability,
SCI-371 Human Impact on Land and Life,
SCI-372 Sustaining Air and Water,
SCI-366 Coastal Environments
SCI-355 Energy Management Strategies
Other 200- level course from the posted list
2. Choose three additional courses from of list of courses - at least one course from each College (see posted list on this website).
3. Demonstrate Campus Outreach and Engagement (see choices below).
4. Internship or Service Project with a reflective component (see choices below).
5. Submit portfolio to demonstrate completion of all elements listed above (see Guidelines for E-portfolio choice)**
CAMPUS OUTREACH AND ENGAGEMENT CHOICES (OTHER OPTIONS MAY BE PROPOSED BY STUDENTS OR FACULTY)
● Take a leadership role in enhancing the sustainability certificate program
● Design and present campus accomplishments or program goals as part of first-year student orientation
● Work with or serve on the Bryant University Sustainability Committee
● Participate in a club or organization with a sustainability focus, e.g., SustainUs, outside NGO such as Save the Bay, or Audubon in RI
*A proposed Freshmen Gateway section focused on Sustainability may be available in the future.
** Complete E-Portfolio Training Workshop or Online Training as needed.
